Calm and Confident: Mental Skills for Students

Calm and Confident: Mental Skills for Students

Big tests. Big games. Big presentations.

Sometimes students know the material or have practiced the skill, but when the moment comes, nerves take over.

In this interactive one-hour workshop, held live on Zoom, Ā students will learn practical mental skills used by athletes and performers to stay calm, confident, and focused when it matters most.

Students will learn how to:
• calm their body when nerves rise
• build confident self-talk
• focus under pressure
• mentally prepare for big moments
• bounce back quickly after mistakes

These tools can help students perform with greater confidence in sports, school, and everyday life.

The workshop is led by Christine Varnado, LPC-S, a licensed professional counselor and owner of Healing Hearts Counseling who recently completed certification in sports psychology, focusing on the mental skills that help individuals perform under pressure.

Students will leave with practical strategies they can start using immediately.

*If you can't attend live, you will receive a recording of the live training that you can watch at your own time.Ā
